Who wants a Toy Poodle or a Yorkshire Terrier in their lap? You can't even feel them there! Give me a dog that keeps your whole lap warm and also makes it impossible to stand up. My vote for the best dog for this task? The Airedale, of course!

50 pound Trudy sits in Gena's lap. Although Trudy fits her pretty well, Gena also likes to be completely crushed by 70 pound Airedales. Notice the "smile" on Gena's and Trudy's faces. |
| Poor Trudy, looking miserable, sits in the chair alone, waiting for a lap to sit in. |

There is an Airedale size for every lap. A small one can be as light as 40 pounds and a large one can exceed 100 pounds. Regardless of the size you choose, it is best not to say things like "cat" or "squirrel", while an Airedale is sitting in your lap. They have no qualms about using human body parts as starting blocks. | |
